Claude Fayette Bragdon, architect, stage designer, author, and poet, was born in Oberlin, Ohio, on August 1, 1866. In 1891 he moved to Rochester, N.Y., and in 1923 he settled in New York City until his death in 1946. His architectural designs include Rochester's New York Central Railroad Station and the Rochester First Universalist Church.
